An award-winning and in demand Baritone, Ryan Hofman is thrilled to be making his company debut with TOT. This past April, he made his debut with New Opera Lyra, originating the role of Tom of Andrew Ager’s The Great Gatsby. He will be returning to NOL in Rachmaninoff’s Aleko in March 2025.
He is a frequent collaborator with several companies including Southern Ontario Lyric Opera, where he most recently appeared Marchese d’Obigny in Verdi’s La Traviata (May 2023), where other company credits include: Masetto in Don Giovanni and Betto in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi. As audiences continue to respond to Mr. Hofman’s warm baritone voice and insightful dramatic and musical interpretations, Ryan continues to be in demand across the country. Career highlights include: Peer Gynt with the National Arts Centre Orchestra, Soloist with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and Bartolo in The Barber of Seville the Teplice Opera Orchestra (UBC Opera).
Ryan has recently pivoted into the arts management world and is excited to about the prospect of working alongside small organizations and artists as Artistic Consultant and Outreach Officer where he hopes to help with audience expansion and making opera more accessible to the general public.
