Robert Hutson

Tenor, Robert Hutson “brings a vibrant stage presence”. Past roles include: Algernon (Earnest, The Importance of Being), Alfred (Die Fledermaus), Mayor Upfold (Albert Herring), Il Contino Belfiore (La Finta Giardiniera), Nanki-Poo (The Mikado), Basilio and Don Curzio (Le nozze di Figaro), Charlie Appleby (The Shop Girl), and Zweiter Priester (Die Zauberflöte).

Robert is also a dedicated researcher and advocate, focusing on disability representation in opera and has been a guest speaker at the University of Calgary, Toronto Metropolitan University, Queen’s University, and Western University. Often wearing multiple hats (sometimes crocheted), Robert conducted the Thames Centre Community Choir based in Thorndale Ontario from 2020-2026.
