Handaya Rusli

Baritone Handaya Rusli has   been heard as Giorgio Germont in Verdi’s La   Traviata with Toronto City Opera as well as Jimmy in   Kurt Weill's Little Mahagonny, Dikoj in Janacek’s Katya   Kabanova, Tesorero in Verdi’s Un Giorno di Regno,   Barbarosa in Verdi’s La Battaglia di Legnano with Opera in   Concert. He sang with Toronto Operetta Theatre as Cerberus in   Offenbach’s Orpheus in the Underworld, Frank in   Strauss’ Die Fledermaus, Von Asterberg in Romberg’s The   Student Prince and Tschekko in Kalman’s Countess   Maritza. He also sang with Opera York as Marchese d’Obigny in   Verdi’s La Traviata, where Michael Jones of Canada   Opera lauded “….. the resonant voice and commanding performance of Handaya   Rusli as the Marchese d’Obigny.”
