The Mikado - Revisited
Soprano Emma Puscalau is in her third year at the University of Toronto Faculty of Music and is making her Toronto Operetta Theatre debut as Lucy in The Mikado. She performed her first operatic role with Summer Opera Lyric Theatre as Damigella in Coronation of Poppea this summer. She is a graduate of Manhattan School of Music Pre-College and made her Carnegie Hall debut after winning first prize at the American Protege Vocal Competition. She has studied voice under the tutelage of esteemed teachers, including Mary Setrakian, Jane Olian (Manhattan School of Music), Lorraine Nubar (Juilliard), and Lorna MacDonald (University of Toronto). Her musical theatre credits include Cosette (Les Misérables), Sarah Brown (Guys and Dolls), and Cinderella (Cinderella).
