Andrea Núñez

Praised for her "blinding brilliance," Canadian Soprano Andrea Núñez is establishing herself as a versatile and engaging artist. This season, Andrea returned to her home company of Opéra de Montréal to reprise her acclaimed Donna Elvira in Mozart’s Don Giovanniunder the baton of Kensho Wantanabe. Last season, Núñez appeared with Opéra de Montréal for Puccini’s La bohème (Musetta), and Pacific Opera Victoria for Portman’s The Little Prince (Water). Recently, Andrea marked several role and company debuts, including Susanna in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro(Opéra de Montréal), Donna Elvira in Mozart’s Don Giovanni (Edmonton Opera), Elvira in Verdi’s Ernani (VOICEBOX: Opera in Concert) and Adele in Die Fledermaus (Toronto Operetta Theatre), where she was praised for her “brilliant coloratura” (BarczaBlog).
