A light, humorous form of music theatre, typically including spoken dialogue, originating in France and spreading like fire within a few years throughout Europe before it charmed the whole world. In recent years it has been transformed and dressed in multiple colours from New York's Broadway to London's West End. For sure Operetta Lives On!
