Toronto Operetta Theatre (“TOT”) is Canada’s premier professional operetta company; Founded in 1985, TOT has a mandate to produce classical operetta, light opera and music theatre featuring professional Canadian artists of exceptional talent.

 

Operating out of the St. Lawrence Centre in downtown Toronto, TOT contributes in a big way to the vibrant arts scene in Toronto that makes this city such a wonderful place to live, work and play!

 

Our mandate includes the advancement of musical education among the next generation of promising young Canadian artists and young Canadian theatre goers. 

 

We are asking for your company's support to help us make this next season an outstanding success!

 

The 2007/2008 TOT season will include:

 

  • SPANISH FANTASIA GALA CONCERT

 

  • Franz Lehar’s THE COUNT OF LUXEMBOURG

 

  • The world premiere of EARNEST, THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING

 

  • THE MIKADO by Gilbert & Sullivan

 

We are asking for your company to support the Toronto Operetta Theatre in one of the following ways:

 

  • Support our outreach program to music students in the greater Toronto area by sponsoring a student matinee performance for $10,000

 

  • Sponsor a performance of the world premiere of Earnest, The Importance of Being.  This new operetta has been written by Canadian composers Victor Davies and Eugene Benson and TOT is undertaking the production of this exciting new work with a cast and crew of Canadian talent.  Join us in this exciting new venture with sponsorship of a performance for $10,000

 

  • Help us employ young Canadian artists. TOT employs young Canadian singers in its chorus.  These singers gain invaluable experience in our professional productions, that allows them to move on to success in Canada and internationally.  Sponsor young singers for the season by pledging $10,000

 

  • Become a Full Season Sponsor; have your corporate logo featured on our print and internet materials, and raise your company’s profile as a supporter of arts in Canada.  Contribute to the cultural vibrancy of Toronto by sponsoring a TOT season for $25,000.
